What to Expect at a Virtual Retreat

Over the past year, we have become accustomed to so many things “going virtual.” School, happy hour, book clubs — you name it, you’ve probably tried it on Zoom.

While “virtual retreats” have been around for a while, they also feel like a particular invention of 2020. If you’ve never experienced one, you may be pleasantly surprised at the meaningful connections that can be formed from one laptop screen to the next.

One participant at a Plan For You retreat said that the experience “brought a sacredness through the screen and into our personal experience, allowing us to reflect and connect with ourselves and each other.”

Here’s a little more about what you can expect to see, do and experience at an Opt Inward virtual retreat.

What the Plan For You virtual retreat HAS:

  • A lovingly curated kit of retreat materials, including tea, a candle and a few surprises, snail-mailed to your doorstep.

  • A beautiful printed workbook, included in your kit and filled with prompts and activities to guide our time together.

  • A Saturday morning gathering (10 a.m. - noon ET on Zoom), where we will get grounded, share stories and experiment with creativity in a judgement-free space.

  • Guidance in crafting your own plan for deeply meaningful self-care, giving yourself permission to rest, create or simply be.

  • Time for solo self-care to show up for yourself in whatever way you need most.

  • A Sunday morning celebration (10-11 a.m. ET on Zoom ), where we will honor the steps we've taken and wrap it all up with a closing ceremony.

What the Plan For You virtual retreat DOES:

  • Invites you to reconnect with what matters most to you, even if you've been out-of-touch for a long time.

  • Gives you permission to do (or not do) the things that are speaking to your soul right now.

  • Guides you to integrate what you love with your daily life, so that you can find fun, joy and meaning in more places.

  • Offers you a new way to look at creativity, spirituality and self-care.

  • Reminds you of all the awesome things you are capable of, and builds and celebrates your self-trust.

I’m planning for four Plan For You retreats in 2021, each one focused on a particular theme or idea. Each event will be similar to the others, but with a bit of a twist that’s unique to that theme.

Like any retreat, much of the experience is also created from the group of folks who show up! I welcome you to attend one or two or all four of these events this year.

Plan For You virtual retreats in 2021:

  • March 13 & 14, 2021 (theme: Growth 🌱)

  • May 22 & 23, 2021 (theme: Play 🪀)

  • September 18 & 19, 2021 (theme: Curiosity/Noticing 👀)

  • November 20 & 21, 2021 (theme: Gratitude 🙏🏻)
